We are a small firm specialized in custom residential architecture and interior design. Based in Oregon, we also practice in the Mountain West. Firm principal Michael Howells (AIA) is a licensed and LEED-certified architect, who gained experience at award-winning firms in Santa Fe, New York City, and Jackson Hole. Prior to becoming an architect, Mr. Howells worked in the art business, and he brings his knowledge of art and photography to his holistic design process.

The firm's goal is to create warm, soulful homes that serve their owners well. Each project has its own sensibility and is driven by the client's needs and the site; all projects are shaped by Mr. Howells' strong affinity for both the refined and the rustic, as well as his  admiration for both artisanal American traditions and universal principles of modern design.
