At Pearson Design Group, Inc. we view the architectural design process as a historical continuum of scale, proportion, detail, texture, and color that's rooted in the 'craft tradition'. It's a tradition that embraces not only vernacular forms--simple and unequivocal--but the humble placement of a series of buildings in direct response to the land, sympathetic to regional conditions and micro-climates.
Historically, architecture has undeniable origins not only in classical work, but also in rural forms. Together, this concept gives rise to architecture that incorporates local, natural materials, such as timber and stone, within simple forms that are in sync with the needs and life priorities of the individual and/or family.
The Craft tradition has been more broadly coined 'Arts & Crafts' however, at Pearson Design Group, we strive to broaden its context to be more inclusive of multiple architectural styles, linked together through a sense of the 'custom-made' or hand-crafted environments. We believe a home should deliver solace through a series of spaces made from authentic materials, and connected in such a way that when one crosses each threshold, a sensation of peace and tranquility is evoked. We look to proven details and traditions spanning the rich history of architecture to ensure that we're designing for generations.
