Self-taught artist until age 30, Cassie constantly explored the relationship between horses and the natural world she grew up in. The rural farming and ranching atmosphere in Southern Colorado was conducive to personal observations and experiences that added richness to the palette of her imagination. She painted and sculpted, experimenting with combinations of mediums that broadened her interest and eventually led to her completing a Bachelor's degree in both Biology and Fine Art at the University of Southern Colorado-CSU Pueblo. She now lives and works in Arvada, CO, where she also teaches ocassional workshops and spends her time between her studio, family, and her own horse, Kahlua. Cassie also volunteers time and donates a portion of her profit to the Colorado Horse Protection League.
