Visions West Galleries Bruce LauritzenTaking chances is what gives Bruce Lauritzen's work its vital edge. He pays tribute to the horse as an iconic image of not only the West, but also a powerful image and symbol throughout the world and history.
Lauritzen was born and educated in San Francisco, CA where he later instructed at the College of Marin in Kentfield CA and the Academy of Art back in his hometown of San Francisco.
Lauritzen has had over 30 solo shows and has participated in over 60 group shows. His work is in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and several other museums around the country and has been featured in publications including Art in America and American Art Review.
