ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS
Meyer East Gallery Greg Reiche
Art and a love of the natural world have been the major constants of my life. Like a river meandering slowly toward the ocean, my exploration of artistic expression has taken many twists and turns through a variety of different styles and media. I have explored and continue to explore, the many nuances of working in a number of different media including wood, metal, stone, glass light and space. The distillation of these past explorations inform my current creative process as it continues to expand and flow ever onward.
In my current work I am exploring themes of balance, tension, confinement, and duality, through ancient and natural forms. I find inspiration in the beauty and complexities of the natural world as well as the elegance, beauty and brutality of mans? interaction with that world.
Someone once said that there is beauty in all things if one only possesses the ability to truly see. It is an enlightenment not easily found and often difficult to share with others. I hope my work, in some small way, exemplifies such beauty and brings a sense of peace and joy to those who experience it. |
