Bird's painting depicts her Native American heritage, usually portraying a traditional way of life, but with modern flair. Her color choices seldom shy away from boldness, combined with a feeling of movement and life.  JoAnne’s warriors and horses float into view and seem to be approaching right in front of your eyes.  Each image draws the viewer in, creating a relationship with the characters 

in the painting.

Bird is a highly collectible artist, and these originals have been privately held for some time - they represent her signature thrown paint style.  All are beautiful, showing images and details within an impressionistic stye.
